Description: Vets Kids, serving children ages 2 months to 5 years, is a nurturing learning oasis within a busy urban community located in the VA/New York Harbor Health Care System. Our four joyful, child-centered classrooms provide a unique and fun learning experience for each child. Our new, state of the art playground includes age appropriate play areas for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We enjoy inteactions with the hospital and veteran community including fun and educational visits from doctors and other hospital professionals and support staff. We participate in Memorial and Veterans Day parades and veteran appreciation activities. Come visit us at Vets Kids - where the excitement of New York City inspires our children to learn, grow and most importantly, imagine.
Since 2012 we have been contracted with the New York City Department of Education as a Universal Pre-K program for four year olds, focusing instruction on Kindergarten preparation aligned with the New York State Common Core Learning Standards.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
