In the time I was at this facility I recognized and reported to management the appearance of an infectious rash in the toddler room, possible shigella outbreak in another classroom. If your child is asthmatic I would avoid this facility due to the unusually large amount of dust that gathers daily in the interior rooms. The new play area is a safety concern, as it has 4 entrances and exits and abuts a row of game machines in which electrical extension cords are both visible and accessible to small children. This play area cannot possibly be monitored by one person per regulations due to various blind spots depending on where you stand in the play area. Some of the equipment is worn and damaged and could potentially be a safety hazard. There is very high turnover for staff and no standard of training for new employees. Classroom curriculum is determined by individual teachers with no continuity or mingling of different age groups. Some of the furniture, particularly the cubbies, are worn and pose a hazard to the children because they lack any secure fasteners for the parts of the furniture itself and no attachment to walls. Use caution when deciding which child care center you choose for your child.
