Providence Childcare & Preschool is locally owned and has catered to the development of children, since 1999. We care for children from infancy to school age, using hands-on experiences and play to involve children in their own learning and prepare them for school and life. We provide nurturing care, thoughtful educational experiences, healthy food, and a great variety of indoor and outdoor activities that build connections among children, with adults, and within each family. Our research-based approach adapts to current best practices, state and national early childhood standards, and our experienced staff’s understanding of what children in our community need to become joyful lifelong learners.
We are located on a 2.5 acre campus in eastern Jefferson County. This space allows us the opportunity to provide HUGE outdoor play and learning areas for the children. We believe in teaching children the importance of sustainability. We provide gardens in which they grow food they actually harvest and eat. We have outdoor play spaces that are like classroom learning centers rooted in a natural setting.
Locally owned and managed, Providence Childcare & Preschool has provided care and a strong educational foundation for 2000+ children since 1999—a number that continues to grow annually. We have facilitated the successful transition of children into the most rigorous private schools and JCPS magnet schools, and children continue to far surpass Kindergarten Readiness Skills because Providence Childcare & Preschool holds fast to our belief that we need to start small, and dream big for each child.
