Edgemont Elementary Head Start

Applied, never got a callback. Called several times Each time they told me a different answer. 1 youre overqualified, thats it no explanation they wanted to hang up right away. 2 he turns 4 after sept 1st so he doesnt qualify anyway. 3 his age qualifies for the dec whatever date oh it says his school would be "so&so" but on the waiting list 4. State preschool is only for 4 year olds so he wont be able to get in & overqualified. 5 just to wait for a call they are still enrolling, school already started, if you dont get a call within 2-3 wks give us a call. It could take weeks/ months! I filled out my application truthful & accurate on time. We cant afford the other preschools $400 plus a month ive had people tell me i should have lied about my income or say only one parent lives with child. Should have figured since some people lie to get medi-cal or food stamps & sellit for cash. Showing up at offices with expensive clothes &cars! Why does low income get their child in right away, when some have lied about their income & the not so lowincome not so "middleclass income" not have a chance
