You need to really look at any childcare facility with open eyes. We were at this daycare for over a year. In that time, we let things go that we should not have because we simply thought we were being picky as first time parents. We didn't even have the worst of experiences, but it wasn't a great one. Not all of the workers talk to children the way you'd hope. Some scream at your kids. In the infant room I was encouraged to put cereal in my bottles, give benedryl for teething (and of course, there's always the one person who says "granny always put whisky on my gums and it works"), and start giving solid food as fast as possible. They made fun of my food I brought, with a "oh, you'll change all of that as you go. Eventually you'll just let them eat whatever". I was told that breastfeeding is too hard by one worker, just do formula. It made me doubt myself greatly at the time. Not all of the workers will abide by your instructions. If you have food concerns, be prepared to get a condescending tone about how "Kids eat what they want!", when they offer hot dogs every other day, pop tarts, donuts, and essentially junk food. Sure, tasty junk food I'm certain. But personally, I don't want to give my child this as the norm. When picking up my child, almost every day I saw him strapped to a wagon, sometimes by himself, sometimes with a friend. Or, put in a room to watch a tv show and not allowed to touch toys. This was because they were cleaning their classrooms and this one was already clean (telling a curious toddler they can't touch toys in front of them is pointless). At one year old they are literally pushed into the next room as soon s they turn one. Moving to the next room means only one scheduled nap, no more bottles, must use cows milk, no high chair, and unless you fight about it hard, their food (and even then you can be assured they are eating their food). Sure, transition must happen, but it's a cold, fast move. Nothing transitional, in my opinion. If you ask for a menu, the'll provide one. However, they will also never serve the items listed, as it's all done off the cuff, it seems. To top it off, my child was fed Peanut butter, when I explicitly said he couldn't have it. They administered Benedryl, and gave me a call. Had I been where I am now, I'd have been much more direct and loud about this. I never wanted to be a "complainer"....well, I should have been. Only after leaving this daycare did I see how much better it could be. I feel like I lost a bit of my child's formative time, and backed down and let others tell me how childcare works. It's truly a daycare in every sense of the word...some workers give good care, some don't. High turn over seems to be rampant. It's not extraordinary. Luckily, we did not have a horrendous experience, but I can't say that I'd recommend this as a great experience. It's also worth noting that a prominent google review is done by their daughter. So, it might be worth considering other reviews in your search. Long story short, this isn't a house of horrors (it wasn't for us), but you can do much better.

The director and her husband are both very good with children. My only issue was one of the workers. She is no longer there. I brought my granddaughter there when I could not find any other provider. The children were very rude to my granddaughter and made her cry. The worker yelled at my granddaughter for crying. My granddaughter finally made a couple of friends there but the rude children continued to make fun of her. It wasn't a good experience. They were creative one summer and went on some fun field trips but the following summer just sat around inside. She was very bored.

After switching from another daycare, we've been taking our daughter there for a little over a year now. I feel as comfortable leaving her there as I would with family. The director and her husband love children and it shows. My daughter is VERY clingy to me and they greet her with open arms every single morning and she has a smile on her face when I hand her over.

I would think twice before taking my child here.
