I have to say I was surprised about the unhappy comment. I feel that her name "Chris's Lovin' Care Family Daycare" says it all. My child started there when he was around the age of one for only a "temporary" amount of time as his initial daycare provider (who I did love) was on maternity leave. He loved Chris and all the things she provides (such as the large number of crafts, field trips, and waterplay), I could not take him out of there. I know many moms whose daycare does not do crafts or rarely goes outside. I guess if you do not want your child in crafts or play outside, I guess they can sit in front of the tv, if that is what you look for in a daycare, but I’m sure not! When the children are young, she sits with them individually to complete their crafts. I think that is very caring and thoughtful. My oldest is excited to go there to this day. I love that she has a routine/schedule with the kids, which is very nice and what kids need. I would not bring my babies there if I had any doubt about her. How well she takes care of my children with all the other kids there and gives them individual attention as well, amazes me. I love her and would not go anywhere else.

Could not believe it when I saw the above comment/rating about Chris! It couldn't be further from the truth!!! In my 6 years plus of having my child go to Chris for daycare, she has always gone above and beyond for every child. She is loving, caring, generous and has always done activities with the kids and in the summer she not only has fun activities for the kids, but she plans field trips to different parks in the community, takes the kids strawberry picking, among other places. Also, one of the greatest things she instills are manners with all of the children from infancy on. Our child looks forward to going to "Chrissy's" every day! It is a close-knit group of kids who have become long-time friends and love Chris (as well as each other)...I think that says it all! I would recommend Chris to anyone looking for childcare. We love her!!!

I have been with Chris since my 7 year old son was 1. I never had any concerns or issues with her. My son is kind and polite and has good manners like the other children in the daycare. She has an open door policy for us parents to walk in at anytime and visit. She interacts very nicely with the kids, sits on the floor with them to play games, the art projects are guided even for the little ones. My son still loves going to day care and he also loves Chris. Chris has a very loving and caring attitude and her kids come to her for anything they need. She teaches their kids playing fair and being nice and she also knows very well how to handle every single one of them. To me she is the best daycare and I feel lucky to have her :-)

She maybe has been doing this for awhile, but my experience was just a baby sitter, NOT a daycare provider. A baby sitter is someone I hire at night to sit and check on my young child while we are out.  A daycare provider is engaged, teaching and loving to my child in the oh so important developing years.  Several times when I would come pick my child up she would be on her phone. Yeah they do a craft project about 2x/week, but majority of them were not age appropriate. Most of the work she did and they just glued the things in place. No one on one time, no reading, more or less here is a large room, go play. Other thing I did not like was on a few occasions when I came to pick up, there was another mom or someone else there watching your kid. I checked her policy/manuel and only saw a neighbor lady listed as emergency back up. I ? who these people are and if appropriate background/training has been done. Also, I know the playground is in her back yard, but NOT comfortable with her sending out the 4+ out by themselves?! her daycare might be majority boys, but better hope they are quiet, shy and keep to themselves. Doesn't do well with large group of boys, don't feel time outs should be "till your parent shows up". Yeah she talks a good talk about loving to do daycare, but guess I'm looking for too much by wanting a provider to engage, interact and enhance my childs life, NOT just do a craft project, we get enough of those in Pre-K. The set up and house is nice, but it's like she is too comfortable in what she's doing and set in her ways. Don't feel the child/provider connection.
