If you ask me why I chose La Puerta de los Ninos my answer is MOTHER INSTINCT!!! After visiting about 6 other day cares the moment I walked into La Puerta I knew this was the place I wanted for my children. My children had been at another 3 day cares and ever since they started at La Puerta there has NOT been one day where they have cried because they do not want to stay, and the best part is that it is ALWAYS hard to get them out of there!! La Puerta has the best staff!! Many of them have been part of the school for over 10 years (turn over ratio at other preschools was one of my biggest fears). My children LOVE every single one of their teachers. Ever since we joined La Puerta, my daughter has blossom in many ways. She not only can now write her first and last name but she can tell me all about dinosaurs (she is 4!)!!! My son, now 3, loves the outdoor play and the outdoor bugs/animals that teachers introduce them to.. and not to mention he LOVES to sing and play instruments with Armando! La Puerta has now moved to a BEAUTIFUL location next to the Bosque trail. You MUST see this place!!... if none of this has interested you yet, let me just say that my children at night after thanking God for family they always add THANK YOU GOD FOR MY TEACHERS!!! :)

About the Provider
In keeping with La Puerta’s goals toward excellence in childcare, during the 1987-88 school year La Puerta staff members voluntarily underwent a comprehensive self-study process sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
We feel it is important for parents to share in the growth and learning experiences of their children through frequent communication with the staff. Parent involvement in La Puerta is further encouraged in such areas as serving on the Board of Directors, participating in work days and building projects, participating in fund raisers, and contributing individual skills and talents in the development of our program.
