Description: For nearly 40 years, parents and professionals have relied on Wilkes Developmental Day School, a private non-profit agency, to meet the needs of children with various abilities, in an inclusive setting. Children receive specialized programming to fit individual needs, including Speech/Language, Physical and Occupational therapies. Classrooms have lower child/staff ratios than required by the state, allowing more individual attention to be given to each child. Staff consists of certified teachers, infant/toddler family specialists and a school nurse.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

There was an opening in the fence at the gate that was three (3) plus inches. The latch does not match up to the post. It is chained but the opening is still there. It was observed that the mulch is measuring 4 inches in some places in the fall zone and 6 inches in other areas of the fall zone. Wood on the raised beds is chipping off and flaking on the edges. The punching bag structure is in need of sanding and painting or removed. | |||
