I have used this provider for more than 6 months

The previous review is clearly, without a shred of doubt, an inside job. The center's purpose and mission is enviable. The implementation, that is the care your child receives, does not match their vision. This is largely due to outdated oversight from the director that chooses to rule with an iron fist and is unwilling to learn, grow, or change from 1972. When the teachers are "afraid of her", the follow up assumption is they are likely bullying our youth as well. (Often without even realizing it as bullying, due to plain old ignorance)

Please, do your diligence for your child. It is my truest hope that soon there will be suitable leaders for this center as the borough, our youth, our next generation, does not deserve this type of (dis)service. That time is undoubtedly not now... Take a stand. Save our youth. Before they develop maladaptive schema. This is our future, these are our kids, think long and hard about it.

Waynesboro Day Care Center is a really great day care center. The teachers are very attentive to my child and he is learning and growing so much with them. The Center has an academic curriculum for each classroom, even the 1 year olds, so that while the kids are having "fun" they are actually learning their letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. My son's been going there since he was a year old and he loves it there. I feel safe dropping him off to "have fun" while I work, and I always look forward to hearing how his day was. The Teachers are friendly, and easy to talk to. The Director is really nice also and is willing to work with you and help you in any way she can. This Daycare is the only 4 Keystone Star (http://www.dhs.state.pa.us/forchildren/childcareearlylearning/keystonestarsinformationforparents/)Daycare in town which means that they are continuously improving these early learning programs to keep up with the Pennsylvania Dept. Of Education Standards. I would definitely recommend this Daycare to anyone who is looking for a really great Day Care Center.
