It’s our pleasure to be a part of Trinity Baptist Child Care Center. We look forward to serving with a dedicated and loving heart reaching one child at a time. Our desire is to develop a personal relationship with both our parents and children. Our staff meets state guidelines to be a Star Rated Center. Our Director and Lead Teachers have an Associate Degree in Early Childhood with continuing education. The Teacher Assistants have state required credentials and we are CPR and First Aid certified.

On November 20, 2023, staff member Veronica Alexander was observed responding to a four-year-old child who had wet his shirt in the restroom by saying, "Oh my God, is that what you did in the bathroom? You need to be more careful and watch what you're doing."

All corrosive agents, pesticides, bleaches, detergents, cleansers, polishes, any product which is under pressure in an aerosol dispenser, and any substance which may be hazardous to a child if ingested, inhaled, or handled were not stored in a locked room or cabinet. Any other product that is labeled "keep out of reach of children" and does not have any other warnings on the label shall be kept inaccessible to children when not in use, but is not required to be kept in locked storage. For the purpose of Paragraphs (b), (c), and (d) of this Rule, a product shall be considered inaccessible to children when stored on a shelf or in an unlocked cabinet that is mounted a minimum vertical distance of five feet above the finished floor. A bottle of air freshener spray labeled "keep out of reach of children" was observed accessible to children in Space #1.

Children were not adequately supervised at all times. On October 5, 2023, a staff member assigned to a group of children one year of age was observed sitting on the playground for nineteen of the forty minutes children were outside. In addition, on October 2, 2023, a child three years of age left the bathroom where a staff member had taken the group for restroom routines, and returned to the classroom across the hall by himself. He was alone in the classroom for two minutes. Staff members interviewed today also consistently reported concerns that some staff members are constantly on their phones rather than supervising children. REPEATED

Per staff member report, a staff member assigned to Space #4 has been heard telling children one year of age to "suck it up" when they are crying, and saying "I'm not going to hold you." It was also reported that harsh tones have been observed.
