I have my two children at timonoum childrens center and I have for a good while. I love this place. I tried a big chain for my oldest when he turned 2 and I was a stay at home mom, but I wanted him to be with other children, learn more things... i hated it, they didnt know his name, what he had for lunch... i tried another small place, and i liked it but the teachers were girls ages 18-20, very fun, but not so knowledgeable. Here, I love everything. I am working full time, my kids are there all day and I still feel good, their teachers are LOVING, my kids are WELL TAKEN CARE OF, they are learning songs, having fun, learning what they should at their young ages, developing their skills like drawing or sharing. Never once I picked them up dirty, sad, hungry, with a boo-boo... the teachers talk to all parents at lenght in the morning and the afternoon, they know the kids very well, they kiss them, and i know it is not a show because my children LOVE their teachers, my oldest says his teacher is their friend, they run to hug them in the morning. You know when the caretaker is doing a loving job when your children are happy to be dropped off in the morning, they go to their teachers happily, hug them, show them their new shoes... and there are always more teachers than required by the state, loom at the ratio per age and you will see they don't need 3 teachers for 10 toddlers.
Negatives, It is more expensive than other places and there are no frills really.
This is one of the worst child care centers I have ever worked for. I have over 5 years of experience working in child care centers and this center is deplorable. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN . This business is all about profit, plain and simple. They invest the bare minimums necessary in order to make a "good impression" on parents but do not care about keeping the center well staffed so that there are enough care givers for the children nor do they care about the tools and toys necessary for giving the children an enriching experience. They are incredibly unprofessional and definitely undeserving of the high prices they charge. Avoid this place if you care about your children.
