About the Provider
A Studio education is from the inside out and empowers students to integrate who they are with what they learn, cultivating a joy of learning and original thinking. Central to our philosophy is the knowledge that intellectual vigor and creativity must be firmly rooted in emotional balance and resilience. These roots need careful nurturing in the early stages of a child’s life and education, allowing time and room to grow strong and spread wide.
We have pioneered social-emotional intelligence in our unique How-To-Learn© curriculum, fostering awareness of the individual as part of the group and the group as its own entity. The dynamics of the individual and the group are powerful tools that lead to deep and lasting academic scholarship, self-reliance, persistence, and healthy relationships with others.
Founded in 1971. Private, Non-Sectarian. Programs for Toddlers (MWF mornings), plus Early Childhood mornings or full day and Kindergarten. Toddler Student/Teacher ratio is 5:1, Early Childhood Learning is 7:1. School memberships include NYAIS and ISAAGNY. 75% of teachers have advanced degrees. Financial aid available starting with Kindergarten.
