| Findings: The entire outdoor area that the provider would like to include for the children to use for play will need to have fencing around all sides. There are 3 safety concerns: the retaining wall that is on 2 sides of the play area (at it highest point is 2 feet 6 inches tall) and on the opposite side of the backyard there is a French drain for the rain water run off that leads to a deep gulley, and thirdly there is another retaining wall as part of the French drain that measures 3 feet and 6 inches at its highest. Once the fencing is installed please send a picture to the Licensing Specialist. The LS may choose to come out to observe the fencing. | |||

| Findings: The provider has a "Swedish Climber" that is permanently attached to the wall in the room that is referred to as the "Engineering Room." The Licensing Specialist has concerns regarding its use and potential safety issues with children using it. Specifically, if a child is climbing up they could fall and injure themselves on the actual equipment or if they fall to the floor. The floor is a concrete slab and although the provider has a "crash pad" for when a child falls or jumps from the structure this Licensing Specialist is concerned of the safe use of the equipment. The Licensing Specialist has consulted with the supervisor for guidance and she will consult with MSDE nurse consultant in addition to the Regional Manager. | |||
