Description: The Sudbury Cooperative Preschool is a unique, family-centered learning environment with a community of trusted adults working together for the education of each child. Small, hands-on classes provide a balance of structured and open-ended “learning through playing†activities and include special enrichment programs throughout the curriculum. As an alternative to other preschools, we offer parents the opportunity to actively participate in their child's success. You are able to experience their accomplishments firsthand in the classroom. A learning community built on caring and cooperation, we take pride in our small class sizes (approximately 8-10 students), low child-to-teacher ratios, and highly qualified teachers. Started in 1949 by a group of parents who wanted to participate in their children's early childhood education, the school combines formal learning with the support of love and family. Today the school is a parent-run, teacher-staffed cooperative that offers varied and enriching programs for children ages two through five.
