We have wasted $100 and four days of our toddler in this daycare. We needed a place to take care of our toddler this summer, but other places like Greentree and Presbyterian preschool are full. My first impression with stepping stone was their security door is so insecure. It is installed inside their room, on a fence like wall behind a normal door, it is about 4 ft high and you can open it easily from outside over hop over it with some support. We tried it because their staff seemed to be nice. But my toddler was grabbed by hair and pushed to ground the first day, bite in nose the second day, bite in nose with some part of skin off the fourth day, all this happened in the play ground and my toddler mentioned to us they were done by the same African American girl. I reported the first biting, they sounded nice but actually didn't care about bully, physical and mental harm done to a toddler.
At end of every day, they didn't provide a writing report/summary about kid's performance/activities. Sometimes when I walked in the door no one was there, only the short "security" tiny door there. I highly don't recommend this place because it is not secure for your kid with or without the child-carers there or not.
Green tree and First Presbyterian preschool are much better, in addition to nice and responsible staff, they have real security gate with cameras and everyone has to be identified to go inside. My toddler has stayed in Presbyterian for 10 months, he was happy and safe everyday, and some kids tried to bully him were disciplined and he shared these positive experience and stories with me everyday.
