Plan: Personnel are required to supervise children constantly, including in the dressing areas, while maintaining the privacy of older children. Personnel will review safety rules with children each time they participate in a water/swimming activity. Parent will be required to sign a permission slip for the swimming activity, detailing the student's swimming capabilities/level. Swimming activities will take place at a facility which provides Coast Guard approved safety vest. Teaching personnel are: (a) in or at the water and prepared to enter: (b) in direct physical contact with student who have lack swimming experience (c) watch for signs of fatigue in children playing in the pool, and (d) when fatigue is witnessed, have the child take a break from play. Swimming activities will only take place at facilities that provide a certified lifeguard and, a current Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH), public bathing place license: and life saving equipment readily available at poolside.
