Licensing observed two classrooms occupied by more children than can be accommodated by the square footage. The back school age classroom is licensed for 18 and the ratio during the visit was 23 children to 2 staff members with 4-4 4 year old's. The toddler classroom is licensed for 10 children and it had 11 children to 1 staff member with 3- 2 year old's. |

Ratios mean the number of teaching personnel required to be physically present with a child or group of children per Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 340 Appendix GG - Ratios and Group Sizes. Only teaching personnel count in ratios, unless the requirements specifically state otherwise. The program is required to maintain ratios at all times.
Licensing observed the 4's and 5's classroom as being out of ratio. During the walkthrough licensing entered the classroom and observed 11 four-year old's and 5 five-year old's present in the classroom with one teacher. The ratio observed was 16:1 w/ 11 four-year old's putting the classroom out of ratio by one child. |

These people do not know how to handle kids tantrums. How can you be a child care facility and not know kids will have meltdowns, especially if they do not get their nap or food on the same day.
