Description: Raleigh Nursery School, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit, 5 star licensed child care facility. The child care center was founded in 1949 by the United War Mothers Chapter I; a group of strong women dedicated to helping to ensure the community would provide a safe place for children to be trained and nurtured while mothers, daughters, and wives entered the workforce because fathers, sons, and husbands were off fighting the war. From the grassroots beginnings in the Historical Chavis Heights Community to our new home in the historical Halifax Court newly named Capital Park community we continue to strive to provide great experiences for children and support for families. After more than 60 years we are still upholding the vision of the united group of mothers by nurturing and developing young children during the years between home and school.
