I have been licensed for 26 years in Pinellas County. I have an AS Degree in Early Childhood Education and a staff credital. I truely love the children and believe that it is a close relationship and cooperation with the parents to raise your child together. I believe children need consistency. Your child can remain with me up til age 4. This creates a bond and understanding of the whole child. Through play and enrichment activities your child will grow to their full potential. It is a long term relationship, with your child being the priority, that allows the child to succeed. I strive to meet your child at every level they grow through and to keep them encouraged about themselves and their enviroment.CPR/First aid certified. Provider First Licensed on: 10/5/94; I love working with the children and watching them grow and develop before my eyes. With guidance, love , and an enriching enviroment your child will grow to their full potential. Interviews done before care starts. I provide healthy meals under the Food Program guidelines. Indoor and outdoor play daily. Activities include but are not limited to playdoh, paint, waterplay, sandplay, swings and slides, bubbles,story and circle time, science, reading, math, art, social skills, music and movement, activity centers.Inspection reports held on site and also with the Pinellas County License Board.

We were very lucky to get a spot at Dawn's daycare when we were looking for one for our then 10 month old. I had a double sided page full of contacts and had visited 5 other daycares before. But when I walked into Dawn's home, I knew, this was were I wanted him to be. Dawn is very intuitive with kids, senses what they need to feel comfortable and makes every effort to accommodate those needs. She and her husband are a great team and created an inviting and nurturing learning environment for the children. There are many things to love about being at her daycare. They have a large indoor space and a fun outdoor space. They make healthy homemade meals for the kids every day and somehow made my now 2 year old love broccoli. Dawn clearly loves every one of "her children" and they all love her back.
Both of our children have been so fortunate to spend the last few years at Dawn's daycare. Dawn and Joe have created a loving family atmosphere but also provide the structure and curriculum for children to learn and grow. Dawn pays close attention to each child and tailors her teaching to their individual needs and interests. The house is always perfectly clean and safe and we knew even during Covid that our kids were in a very safe environment. Our kid's feel like Dawn's daycare is their second home and see the Porcelli's as family. Dawn has taught our kids reading, writing, countless songs, jokes, crafts, science and even potty training. We are amazed at how much both of our boys have learned and developed in Dawn's care and we couldn't have imagined a better place for them to grow.
Dawn was amazing take care of our baby when I went back to work. She is nurturing, loving, and provides a stimulating environment. She truly has a heart for children and it shows. Her home is immaculate and provides cooked meals for the kids (when they start eating) She is breastfeeding friendly and formula friendly. We are grateful for Dawn!
Dawn was my daycare provider for my daughter from 3 months old until she was almost two years old. Dawn was very attentive to my child and always treated her as if she were her own child. I was astounded by the developments I saw in my child on an ongoing basis. She always provided a safe, clean and loving environment for all the kids. I would highly recommend Dawn to anyone who is looking for an at home daycare provider.

a clean home, great education focus to get the kids ready for VPK, and she makes all the kids top priority. She truly cares for each and all the children that attend her daycare.
Dawn watched our daughter, Haylie, from 12 weeks of age until 2 1/2 as she was ready for preschool. We were so incredibly blessed to have had her care for and love her for so long. Although we won't be going there everyday anymore, we'll always feel like Dawn and her family are apart of our family.
Dawn's home is warm, welcoming and safe, and everyday Haylie woke up excited to go to "Ms. Dawn's house", even on the weekends when we stayed home.
Haylie started preschool fully prepared, thanks to Dawn. She works with the kids on their letters, numbers and so much more. She has provided an amazing foundation for Haylie's start to preschool. We are forever grateful for Dawn!
Dawn was amazing, she had our son Luke from when he was 6 months old till he enrolled in VPK. His VPK teacher complimented us on his behavior and the fact he knew his colors, could write his name and count to 20, this was all because Dawn not only provides a safe and structured environment for the children but she also teaches them basic learning skills to prepare them for VPK. She is amazing and we were so lucky to have found her.
My daughter has been going to Dawn's daycare for 3 years now. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the care and education she has received. She is already reading above her age group level. She works with my daughter on skills that she needs to be ready for school next year. Her vocabulary expands everyday. Dawn keeps me informed with any issues that arise throughout the day. She loves, and cares for the kids as if they are her own. We are beyond blessed to have found Dawn.
My daughter has been going to Miss Dawn since she was 6 months old. As soon as we pull up to the house, she gets so excited. Dawn is very organized and gives each child that personal care that they crave. She communicates daily with parents on how the day went. Our daughter learns new things each time we pick her up (and sometimes doesn't want to leave). I love the advice she gives and trust her completely with our daughter. We are very happy that Dawn is watching our child and highly recommend her. She's fantastic
Dawn provided all that was important to me, and so much more. My daughter (who was with Dawn for 5 years) always felt extremely loved, happy and safe. Beyond that, Dawn also put emphasis on learning and my daughter was reading before even entering school. Dawn was always patience and kind and easy to work with. We could not have been luckier or happier. I would suggest Dawn to anyone looking for quaility child care.
Dawn has been caring for our 2 1/2 year old daughter since she was 5 months old. We have been very happy with the excellent care she has given to our child. Dawn cares about all of the children and form a bond with each child. My daughter loves going to Dawn's everyday and I have peace of mind knowing that while I am at work my daughter is getting the best care possible.
Our family has been with Dawn since our daughter was born in 2008 and she also cares for our son now too. She’s a very caring person and provides a safe and loving environment for our kids. Both of our children love Dawn and look forward to seeing her every morning. She does a great job balancing their outside and inside activities and teaching them skills along the way. Our kids come home talking about new books they’ve read, singing songs, and lots of drawings and art projects. We would definitely recommend her!
My wife and I had a nanny for our first child. When the nanny told us she had to move, we interviewed many home daycares. For the last three years, we have been happy to have Dawn take care of our two children. Tucked away in a nice neighborhood, we found two loving people running a safe, clean daycare. Dawn’s husband Joe is home during the day and helps out with the kids. Two adults for a maximum of six children is a rare find. Both truly care about each child. It is more than just a job for both. Their experience, lovingness, and calmness make dropping off our children with someone else so much easier.
