Description: Established in 1983, Play Keepers, Inc. has been providing quality care for school-age children in Baltimore County for 30 years. Play Keepers started with one center and has grown to over a dozen. Maxine Seidman, the executive director, is a hands-on manager who can often be found in a center. Our mission is to provide a safe, fun, nurturing environment for children in our care: We strive for excellence; We encourage teamwork; We respect and appreciate diversity; We communicate openly and productively; We utilize research-based curriculum resources; We seek to understand and support family needs; We encourage feedback and seek continuous improvement; We provide families with ways to be involved in the program. Play Keepers’ qualified staff meet or exceed all the requirements set forth in the Code of Maryland Regulations issued by the State Department of Education. Continued training for the safety of children includes first aid, CPR, Emergency Preparedness, Medication Administration, and others such as Playground Safety. Our staff works with the school staff to learn and follow school-specific security measures.
