Description: Oak Grove Montessori offers a full and part time primary program based on the Montessori philosophy of education. Founded in 1997, the primary program serves children 3 to 5 years old. Oak Grove’s fundamental objective is to facilitate the development of each child’s independence, self confidence and self respect. Self-discipline is encouraged and a concerted effort is made to empower the child. In guiding children to make responsible choices for themselves, they recognize that they are assuming increased control over their lives as they mature. Creativity blossoms in an atmosphere of acceptance and trust, while each child is given the freedom to find how he or she best expresses his or herself.
