Little Learners Child Development Center, Inc. is a private child care center with a Five Star License which has been in operation since 1973. We strive to utilize best practices in child care to ensure center compliance, a safe and nurturing environment for all children. We currently use Creative Curriculum for ages Infants - Four years and Opening the World of Learning (O.W.L) for children ages four to five enrolled in the North Carolina Pre-K program at our Charlotte location (NCPK).

Food substitution was not of comparable food value or recorded on the menu prior to the meal or snack being served. Lunch included a sun butter sandwich, spinach, oranges, and milk. The menu stated that lunch would include baked beans, stewed tomatoes, mini corn dogs, and milk.

There was a bug repellant that was not returned to the parent.

Caregivers did not document compliance with visually checking on sleeping infants aged 12 months or younger and/or the documents were not maintained for a minimum of one month. In space 2, there was not record of safe sleep checks being completed.

On or before the first day of work, all staff, including the director and individuals who volunteer more than once per week did not provide results indicating that they were free of active TB and/or TB test or screening was older than 12 months. TB test was older than 12 months from date of employment for one staff.
