Description: KIDS FIRST is Arkansas’s first Pediatric day health care program for children with special health care needs and the only such program based in the UAMS system.KIDS FIRST holds the unique distinction of pioneering interdisciplinary day health services for young children with special needs in Arkansas.The clinic was soon filled to capacity and in 2003 an expansion was complete – with a total of 8 treatment rooms, 2 playrooms, offices and other needed amenities. KIDS FIRST works in cooperation with local, area and state colleges to provide observation and training to nursing, early childhood and special education students.
