Findings: A complaint inspection was conducted this date. The complaint alleges that two children almost fell into a pond behind the day care center. A hole located in a fence gave the children access to the pond. Two staff members ran after the two children. The children clothes were wet and they were covered with green moss. The staff members placed the children's clothes on the fence to dry. The parent of the children was not notified by the day care center. Ms. Linda the three year old teacher drinks alcohol during the day care hours. The complainant will call back to the Office of Childcare with more information. LS observed a wooden slat missing on the fence located to the left side of the building that exits out of the left side classrooms. Administration states that the staff have been told numerous times to use the back door exit only as a means of egress for emergencies. Findings: A complaint investigation was conducted this date. The complaint alleges that the child was released after suffering an asthma attack and there was no one available to discuss the child's health or acknowledge who was approved to administer medication. The Teacher states that 15 minutes later she took the child to the teacher that can administer medication and that teacher took her to the break room and gave her a nebulizer treatment. At around 12:00 pm, the child's father came to pick her up. The teacher who administered medication informed the father that she gave the child a nebulizer treatment and that she will need some water. The Director states that on Friday, she didn't get to the center until after 1pm. She states she was in contact with the office manager who informed her of the missing medication form for the child's file. | |||
