Kaniz is absolutely fantastic. Our son is extremely happy with her, and we trust her completely. She truly knows and loves our little one (who is almost 3-years-old) and he feels loved and cared for by her. Her warmth and generosity are deeply valued by us.
She cooks very healthy and delicious meals for the children and provides them with nutritious snacks. She takes them on really fun outings (library, toy store, parks, sing-a-longs, arts & crafts) and every day is different.
We'd recommend her very highly to any parents looking for home daycare!
We had the pleasure and honor of having my daughter as part of Kaniz’s daycare this summer. Kaniz has such an open heart. It’s like she’s extended family.
My daughter immediately felt comfortable with Kaniz. Kaniz also spent some hours taking my daughter to the playground to bond one-on-one before she started during the week.
The children eat so well at Kaniz’s. She prepares homemade meals for the children.
She took the children out into the community every morning. They went to the library, the park, a fountain to splash in when it’s hot, bookstore for story time, etc.
Her kindness and caring nature is contagious. The children respect her and learn from her. They are kind and loving to her and each other.
I highly recommend Kaniz’s daycare.
Kaniz took care of our daughter for almost two years. Kaniz was a responsible, warm, flexible, kind, and gentle presence for our daughter. Even now, a year later, our daughter often speaks of Kaniz and how she misses her. Kaniz would send pictures and videos every day and provide amazing nutritious meals. The days involved many activities around Cambridge in the parks and at the library and sing-alongs. Her home was so inviting and well organized for the children. We couldn't have been happier with our experience with Kaniz. --Elan and Ophélie
Kaniz is incredibly warm, nurturing and attentive with my son who attends her family daycare four days a week. She cooks amazing healthy, delicious home cooked meals for the kids and takes them out to wonderful activities in Porter Square, including the library, parks, sing alongs etc. Kaniz also engages the kids in many creative activities in her own home (e.g. art projects, rolling dough for a home made snack ). My son has been learning so much from other kids, given the range in ages, getting great socialization and still lots of dedicated attention as well. There are typically no more than 5 kids on any given day and Kaniz has an experienced helper that is terrific with my son as well. Currently Kaniz offers part-time care or up to four days a week. This gives flexibility to families and has a lot of benefits, especially if you may need a different combination of days Mon-Thursday, but it also means that the schedule can vary quite a bit week to week (in terms of the other children attending on any given day).
Kaniz has created a great space for the kids to both play hard/ be active and have quiet time with books or nap (my son still takes two naps a day whereas most kids attending only need one). Her home is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend Kaniz's daycare.
We sent our two children to Kaniz for the past five years. She is warm, sensitive, and very skilled with children. Kaniz's house is the best of both worlds - your children have the social contact you get in a daycare but also get the personal attention of a nanny share. Her group is small. She keeps them very busy but also understands the need for rest and downtime. The group attends local story times, singalongs, visits public playgrounds and sometimes takes the occasional "field trip". My children's napping and eating habits improved significantly after spending time in Kaniz's home. She is an amazing cook and feeds the children home cooked organic meals. When it is time for nap or rest time she establishes a calm atmosphere that can put the toughest napper (i.e. my son) to sleep. Her home is clean and well organized. We love Kaniz and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caregiver!
Kaniz loves our daughter. I drop my 3 year old girl off and don’t worry about her all day. She has fun with Kaniz and the other children at playgrounds, story times, and beyond. Kaniz provides all the food. I feel so lucky that Kaniz cares for our daughter and it has helped our family so much!
