Lilly is someone that truly relates to the little ones. The family care might not have all the bells and whistles as commercial chains, but has certainly nourished many kids over the decades with a lot of personal touches from the lady. After having our 1yo there for almost a year, we would have sent another little one there should the situation allows.
We were so happy to have Lilly care for our son for a over a year when he began at 5 months old until he was 19 months old. We would certainly continue with Lilly except for the fact that we are moving. She is truly a professional who understands the needs of growing children who begin from babies to active toddlers. Our son has grown up beautifully under her care. She was attentive to our son’s needs especially in the beginning since he was a preemie. As he got older and started solid foods, Lilly gave us daily report cards for a while so that we could keep track of how much and what our son was eating. She keeps the children active by taking them regularly to the park, local playgroup, and library. I envy her toy collection, as it constantly evolves based on having toys available that are age-appropriate. She also makes holidays and birthdays special including throwing a wonderful first birthday party for our son. We so appreciate the many pictures she takes of our son that captured the special moments of him growing up.
Lilly has babysat for our 3yo daughter part time evenings for at least 2 years now. She is a very caring and competent provider. Our daughter has a great time with Lilly. She has made herself available to us evenings when my wife and I needed a night out, Lilly has been very accommodating to us, even staying late on occasion without complaint. We trust Lilly with our daughter and would have no reservation referring our friends which we have done when the occasion arose. Choose Lilly and and put your mind at ease.
My son was with Lily from age 4 months until 16 months. Lily gets the children outside almost year round. She utilizes resources in her neighborhood (open play in school gym, etc) quite well. She has a wealth of age appropriate toys, infant swings, books, etc. and takes pride in maintaining appropriate state credentials and continuing education. She has more energy than I do and is often on the floor crawling around with the kids. My son (now older) fondly remembers his time at Lily's.
Lily is an in home daycare provider and as such on the rare occasions she is sick parents must find another option (like any other one person business). During the year my son was there I believe there were only 1 or 2 unscheduled days off.
Lilly provided daycare services for our two daughters from the age of 8 weeks old until they turned 2. Lilly is a caring , loving and trustworthy person. She would often go above and beyond on several special occasions ( birthday parties, Christmas gifts , Valentine's party and Halloween costumes ,...) . Lilly has extensive experience with infants and I always felt confident she would give my daughters the best loving care and nurturing environment a baby needs. She is a wonderful person when it comes to build nice memories for the kids ( Park rides, walks , taking amazing pictures,...). We always found it quite easy to deal with Lily as long as you stay on your positions. We give her our highest recommendation.
My daughter was in Lily's home day care from age 3 months to 2 years, 9 months, when she started preschool (2009-2012). We lived in Davis Square when we started with Lily, and we moved to the suburbs when our daughter was about 8 months. We stuck with Lily's daycare even after our moved, and Lily did what she could to accommodate and make it as easy as possible. We really wanted a homey and loving environment for our child, and we found that in Lily's home. This was our first child, and it was wonderful to have a caregiver with extensive experience with children to help with rolling over, sitting up, learning to crawl. She knows when those things are happening and works with the baby to help things move forward. We breastfed and left bottles of milk, and Lily was able to do that no problem for us. Lily has a modest sized home (it is the city), but she takes the children out often to parks, play groups, and stays active with them. She also takes a lot of photos and is very transparent about what is happening during the day, which I found a comfort. Our daughter was extremely attached to Lily (and Lily to her), and it was a sad day for me when they were separated for school...but thankfully we have stayed in touch. I highly recommend Lily and am able to provide a reference to parents who obtain my contact information from her, to discuss my experience in more detail.
Lilly provided daycare services for my 2 year old son for approximately a 1.5 years. During that time she provided fair care for him. She did not neglect him but did not provide stimulating care. She was always open to babysitting and was flexible on drop off and pick up times. The issues we had really centered on dealing with Lilly. Lilly does not embrace alternate diets, breast milk and organic diet for example, and would often complain about how they were difficult for her (Note- my son did not require any alternate diet). She would frequently complain and gossip about other parents and children. It was also difficult to talk to Lilly. I would have to ask a question repeatedly because she would often get distracted and talk about other things, mostly the issues other kids were having. There were also multiple occasions where she would give less than adequate notice for time off. If there was ever an issue she would get defensive and bring up topics that did not directly relate to the issue at hand. Lastly, when we chose to leave she refused to return the deposit. This culminated in a phone conversation where she was irate and hung up abruptly. Overall, Lilly's care was adequate but dealing with Lilly was often difficult.
Lilly is very sweet and competent. She's taken care of our daughter (now 3) since when she was 1, usually on evenings. Our daughter really enjoys being with Lilly and looks forward to every visit. She's also been watching our younger son since he was a month old. Lilly has extensive experience with babies and children of all ages, and we find her most trustworthy. She is truly interested in kids and always gives us great pictures of our children having a good time. We give her the highest recommendation.
