| 2021-01-29 | Complaint | 13A.15.03.05C(3) | Corrected |
| Findings: Complaint: The provider sent this specialist an email indicating she was informed on 12.31.20 that the family of a child in care tested positive for COVID, yet the provider did not inform this specialist about the incident until 1.11.21, which is when the email was sent. Even though the provider was closed for the holidays when she was made aware of the situation, she still reopened on 1.4.21 without seeking further advice from the health department first. The provider also got tested for COVID-19 as a result of the situation, on the week she reopened, yet this specialist wasnt made aware of her getting tested until 1.11.21 as well. Complaint Confirmed. The provider stated because she was closed and doing other things at the time of the situation, she forgot to contact both this specialist and the health department upon re-opening. The provider also mentioned since COVID there are multiple emails and information received about what to do, which sometimes can be overwhelming and confusing. The provider was informed to always insure to notify OCC of any situation involving the home that may present a risk to the health, safety or welfare of children in care. Correction made. | |||
