Description: It is the ongoing mission of the Park Slope North Child Development Center (also known as Helen Owen Carey Child Development Center) to support children’s development by cherishing their individual needs, by helping them to live, learn and work cooperatively and by promoting their self-esteem as members of their families as well as our child care community.
We recognize the importance of parents, guardians and families as part of a comprehensive school team. The Center, in conjunction with the Parents’ Advisory Committee (PAC) and community services, works toward the growth and support of our individual family units and their function within the day care community.
