Since 1985, the Genesis Center has met parents’ needs of providing affordable, professional care to their children. Currently, the Genesis Childcare Center is licensed to serve 32 infants and toddlers and 42 children ages three to five years old. We provide care for children of all abilities and welcome families of all income levels. Our curriculum is aligned to the Rhode Island Early Learning Standards to prepare children to enter kindergarten well-prepared and ready to succeed.
The Genesis Center also provides adult education classes so parents can learn English as a Second language or participate in a job training while knowing their child is well-cared for on the premises. We are a Head Start partner and participated in the Department of Education's Child Nutrition Program with two meals and a snack provided every day. We are also part of Bradley Hospital's Child Care Support Network that specializes in enhancing the health and wellness of all children in Rhode Island.
