The staff acknowledged that soiled pullups are changed in the bathroom for the children who are being toilet trained. During a discussion with the Director regarding this deficiency, the Director stated that at the beginning of the school year, staff had been changing 2 children's pullups in the bathroom for preschool age children, since the children were not toilet trained at that time. | |||

| Findings: The Surveyor observed the following hazardous in the toddler's outdoor activity area: 1) Five 2 X 4 pieces of wood stored in the corner. Three of the pieces of this wood had rough, splintering pieces of wood; and 2) Both entrance gates to the wrought iron fenced enclosed toddler playground area had been secured shut with bungee cord clips, while the children were inside this fenced area. The toddler staff told the Surveyor it was to prevent the children from getting out of this area. Later during a discussion with the Director, the Director stated that it was required to be done, per the licensee's policy (the "Pre-opening checklist"). The Surveyor explained that the children could not be secured into an area, without the children being able to get out of the area in case of emergency. | |||
