About the Provider
Eugene Montessori School, founded in 1962, is a well-established program.
We have a loyal parent group, many of whom attended the school as children and who have fond memories of their time here.
In our Montessori preschool classrooms, every piece of equipment takes advantage of a child’s inherent desire to learn; to cater to the child’s sensitive period, as Maria Montessori described certain periods of intense interest in certain aspects of development.
Children may work in groups or on their own. They may sit at a table, or work at a rug on the floor. The classroom environment and teachers’ role are all carefully designed to enable each child’s self-paced growth.
