About the Provider

Description: Welcome to Dixon Academy! The vision of Dixon Academy is to provide the highest quality and most comprehensive early childhood educational experiences that are supported by enthusiastic educators and innovative programming. We strive to create an environment that, through a child’s perspective, is educational, fun and safe. No detail has been overlooked in order to make Dixon Academy a great place.

Parents are always welcome At Dixon Academy. Come rock your baby, read a story, eat lunch or observe your child’s class. You are welcome any time! Children feel more secure knowing there is a strong connection between their home, family and child care center. Help us make that connection.

Parent Conferences and Educational Nights are scheduled periodically to strengthen the relationship between home and center.

Teachers post weekly lesson plans as well as daily reports. Please check the plans to see what your child has done and talk about it with him/her that evening. Sing the songs, say the rhymes and take an active part in your child’s day and education. The teachers will schedule at least two parent-teacher conferences with you, but YOU can request one at any time and are encouraged to visit informally with your child’s teacher regularly.

The door is always open to parents and children. We want to hear what you have to say. If you have concerns, problems, comments or praise about the program, please tell us. Your comments will lead to better care for the children.

I am an employee

The center was fine when you 1st start. The staff is friendly for the first few weeks/months and then it goes downhill. All of the staff at this center are all related or close in some way causing interal conflict. the main director could use a class on how to talk to people. some staff are never in their classrooms when the director is out and the assistant director is left in charge. Parent teacher relationships are usually frowned upon but not at this center. My child at one point in time, loved going to this center now it is like pulling teeth to even get them ready. Half the staff needs to be replaced or needs a test on the handbook because nobody follows it at all at this center. Will not be bringing my child back or will I be coming back to work ever again
