Description: Deltona Christian School began as a vision of Pastor and Mrs. Donald Herchenroder. After seeing the need for a school where students could receive a quality education in a Christian atmosphere, they began praying about it. It was brought before the deacons and the church and with the Lord’s leadership, the church voted on July 14, 1974 to begin the school.
Classes began September 3, 1974 with 19 students in the kindergarten through fourth grades. Fifth grade was added after Christmas break.
Upon Pastor Donald Herchenroder’s retirement in 1997, the church elected the assistant pastor, Byron Herchenroder, as pastor. Under his leadership the school has continued to grow.
Deltona Christian School alumni now circle the globe as pastors, musicians, teachers, missionaries, doctors, attorneys, military personnel, and various other professions.
* To help children become aware of there need for a Savior. To help them understand that there is only one way they can have forgiveness of sins, and that is placing total dependance on Christ's finished work on the cross. To help these children become more Christ-like. To provide a quality education in a Christian environment. To encourage our students to strive for excellence in all areas of their lives. For our students to grow spiritually, socially, and academically.

Worst. Experience. Ever.
Owners and administration are all family members who protect their own interests rather than students and families .
They don’t pay any attention to bullying situations or any complains.
They just care about money and they’ll get it from you any way possible.
They’re high school is not certified , your kid will have to go through a lot of tests to be admitted in college .
It is a shame from people who called themselves Christians .
