Announcement C-24-02 was put in place, effective October 2024, and violations were given due to this announcement to all my school-age sites (7 sites), except one, due to the fact that site was inspected in September 2024, when Announcement C-24-02 was not in place. There has been much confusion about Announcement C-24-02 from providers, certification representatives, and supervisors. After speaking with many OCDEL representatives, and not having all our questions answered, and not being able to contact and talk with a person in the Federal Childcare office, we came up with a plan that was acceptable. We are still in the process of trying to speak to a person in the Federal office about Announcement C-24-02, but were told by certification people that our plan of correction is due, so we wrote one. We were told that they are enforcing this Announcement C-24-02 to comply with Federal regulations or grant money would not be given to OCDEL. Hopefully, we will have more specific clarification from the Federal office soon.
