About the Provider

We provide early education, child development, and intervention services to low-income children and their families in Carroll County. Our two centers, located in Westminster and Taneytown, prepare children three to five years of age for kindergarten and offer support services to their families. We are proud of our families, and respect the strengths and uniqueness of each of them. “As each of my children went through the Head Start program, I enjoyed sharing all the wonderful experiences the programs offer. Now that I am an assistant teacher, I continue to see the great accomplishments our children make. I love being a part of such a life-changing program,” says Samaria, a teacher at Carroll County Head Start and a former Head Start parent. Catholic Charities Head Start of Carroll County has been providing comprehensive family development services for all of Carroll County since 2000. About 145 – 150 children are served annually. Catholic Charities Head Start operates at two locations in Carroll County: Westminster and Taneytown. The main offices are located in Westminster.
