Findings: During the walk through of the facility, specialist entered the school age room and observed 10 children and 1 staff person. the second staff was in the bathroom and ls observed a special need child playing in the corner where the air conditioning unit was plugged into the wall. The child was playing with the switch with a light on the cord. He was pushing the switch up and down with no shoes on in the corner. Specialist observed the child and watched the child and noticed no one was watching the child. Specialist informed the staff of the observation and staff called over the staff in charge to remove the child. The staff took the child and had the child stand next to her. The staff told the staff for the school age room to take the children outside. After outside play and leaving the center, specialist had to walk through the school age room, the child was back in the corner playing with the switch on the air conditioning unit. The staff immediately removed the child from the area and placed the child in the three year old room on the main level.
