Write a review about Billie Orts Laugh-N-Learn Day Care Ctr. Let other families know what’s great, or what could be improved. Please read our brief review guidelines to make your review as helpful as possible.
My daughter has been attending Laugh N Learn since June 2017. I absolutely LOVE this place!! She actually enjoys going and has learned so much. The structured environment is exactly what I was looking for to prepare her for kindergarten. The staff is AMAZING and treat us like family. They are very helpful and understanding in any situation that has come up for me. I would highly recommend Laugh N Learn if you want the piece of mind knowing your child is being taken care of the way you would take care of them.
I sent my son here for a little while and he hated it, they treated him like crap then on top of that they couldn't deal with his personality and instead made it seem as though he was a bad child and he isn't according to his new daycare where they have barely any issues with him. I think this place is just in it for the money and could care less about the treatment of the children. I also know that they refuse services to people like they did to us once they are pissed off
I was refused service yesterday by Billie stating that I would not be able to drop my child off again until a meeting is had with the director because of issues with me. (side note - director just had surgery and will not be available for awhile. I and my fiancé both work full time so this is not a feasible thing to ask. We can not wait to have a conference and have no daycare for an indefinite time) This is effective terminating the contract(which we were never given a copy of) because it is an unreasonable expectation for us to do without daycare for that long. The dispute was over providing receipts for dependent care reimbursement. She stated that they had been printed and would not print more as it was "fraudulent on my Tax ID number". She claimed to have talked with Ameriflex and they agreed but my conversations with them have been completely different. I worked with Ameriflex to get an entire print out of my transactional history to show to her that there were in fact 4 reimbursements missing. When this was sent to her she called(never responds to emails - probably does not want to risk the paper trail of her interactions - stating she would not be looking at the attachments and that she would not provide receipts. They were already given to us. Giving her the benefit of the doubt I said you place them in the cubbies the children put their projects in. It is possible a child moved them. She then got belligerent with me. I never swore and stayed calm long after I was being berated in all of my interactions. Billie is one of 3 things - lazy, unintelligent, or not a good person... I don't want my child watched by someone who exhibits any of those qualities
As stated by Jimmy Wilson, Billie Ort is very rude and unprofessional. My husband and I have decided to go elsewhere for care after only being there since feb 2017. Please parents be very cautious of this facility, look elsewhere and save yourself the headache!
Decided on another facility for our kids after talking with several parents who are unhappy about high employee turnover rate. Owners, especially Billy, are notorious for treating employees badly.
