Description: Barnsley Academy was founded in October 2012 and opened its doors February 2013.
Our Academy is located in the historic "Barnsley School" building on the corner of Barnsley Road and Twinhouse Road. The location has been remodeled to offer a full-service Daycare and Preschool. We boast over 2 acres of property with a large playground and grassy area for our children to enjoy. We offer bike riding and water days for outdoor activities. We provide all the comforts of home and strive to give our smaller daycare a cozy home feeling for your child.

Warning to new parents this place is awful, where to begin…
1. They don’t do anything but watch TV and go outside, which is good but our children learned nothing while being there compared to other daycares we have been in this place did nothing to help with that
2. We had a few issues that we brought up to the teacher at the time Kayla, and the Director. One of those times was our child getting blisters all over her feet, because ms Kayla thought it was good idea to remove their shoes and let them play on pavement barefoot, glass, rocks, or hot pavement in the sun? They don’t think about that I guess
3. Ms Kayla is unbelievably rude and lies she said “ I don’t think that happened” when our kid was hurt but she wasn’t there, nor was she present or spoke to her teacher. She told us they don’t need sunscreen when it’s cold out, because everyone knows the sun doesn’t emit UV rays in the winter… This is the same teacher who said “our child wasn’t feeling well all day” but she was only there 1 hour, she stated our child had a fever of 100.8 but when I asked her to check it in front of me I was told “no” I took it at home 98.2…
So if you like being lied too, rude staff, and your children being unsafe playing in a parking lot barefoot, then this is the place for you. But if you love your kids please go else where…any where else actually…
