FirstSteps Daycare, Inc. a/k/a FirstSteps Child Development

If there was such thing as zero starts I would give first steps zeros stars!!! Stay away from this place. The director Cassie acts all nice and friendly but she secretly talks s*** behind everyone’s back. I heard her taking about my own child with other employees. She can’t keep workers there to save her life... the teacher turnover rate is so sad. They barley have enough people to keep the place a float.

Both of my children have gone to daycare here over a span of 13 years and we have loved it!  My children were well cared for and learned so much!  When they started in public school they were very ahead of most of the other students!  I would definitely recommend Lakeridge Baptist First Steps!

A great place to be! My children have been at First Steps for 5 years. The administration is very helpful and professional. Classroom turnover is minimal. I am grateful for the curriculum and teaching moments at this daycare. You can go to work with peace of mind that your children are in good hands. 

Some of the teachers there are great at what they do, but when one teacher is physical and verbally abusive with kids it is awful. A teacher physically grabbed a child by there legs and yanked them out of a play structure while screaming at them. They really should be careful what parents are around when they think no one is watching. I wont have my child back for fear this teacher may get her next time around. Making complaints goes no where. How are these people still open?

We loved this daycare when my child started. She was 15 months old at the time. She is now three and we have the hardest time getting her to go to school and it is because of the high turnover rate of teachers her class has gone through just during the past 6 months. The director is awful, and has no idea how to do her job. She is very hard to talk to and it is more than obvious that the daycare workers are unhappy as well. I believe all of this is due to the new director that took over last fall. We will not be enrolling her again after the fall.
