? I have a 3-year-old attending since she was 12 weeks and a 6-month-old attending in the infant room. The teachers are fantastic - loving, encouraging, fun, and great with all of the kids. The front desk and administrators are excellent at communication and working through problems/issues. It's a great feeling to drop your kids off and know they are safe, enjoying their day having fun, and really enhancing their education. It's amazing how much my daughter has learned while attending Kid's Palace Learning Center! and may I add the place is always nice and clean.
My granddaughter went here only two weeks. Week 1- she got bit (not unexpected) day#2, had a lump on her head from a fall (happens)day#3, and had scratches on her back (unexplained)day#2. She started running a temperature within 48 hours that passed on to her Mom & Dad. We found she was NOT being given ANYTHING to drink as NONE of us were told to provide a sippee cup or she would NOT get anything. We found that out when she had horrible constipation and asked about her diet to see if it was due to changes. Week 2- day#1, dad goes to pick her up, she (15 mos old) was by herself, facedown on the carpet. When he called her name, she looked up, and obviously had laid there and cried until she could no more. There was one other child, in a highchair, with an empty bottle, half asleep, and there was NO ADULT in the room. All employees were in the office, leaving two toddlers ALONE. Mom kept her home for two days, then yesterday, there only 5 hours, mom saw teacher washing a bottle with hand soap! Granddaughter is sick AGAIN. The time frame of her illnesses incubation times mean it was contracted THERE. Mom also observed them on a cleaning frenzy with a strong bleach smell--Meaning they are NOT following guidelines set forward by DCFS/DHS concerning rules and regulations. It was also "rumored" that they were cleaning because they had a "bad visit" from child services and had bad marks for cleanliness. Needless to say, we have changed daycares, where other parents have moved their children to FROM THIS VERY DAYCARE due to similar issues. Do NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN GO HERE. After what happened recently, which will be reported, I will be surprised they are not shut down, as should be.
