I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I have been sending my son to Gonzales for the past four years. Out of a class of 12, 10 of the parent are registered to Oak Forest elementary and all drive out of their way to take their kids to daycare here. I have read the other reviews on this site and I will be blunt they are literally not accurate portrayals of this daycare. The workers are INCREDIBLE, my son was counting to 10 at 18 months. He is 4 years old and is learning to read, knows how to count to 100 and is incredibly loved on and stimulated. Anyone who actually attends this daycare knows how incredible and special it is. They don't use fancy technology but they invest in your kids and love on them. I am highly educated and in the infant room the ratios were 1-2 kids per adult. In the older rooms the kids are given the right amount of homework. They don't subscribe to any one method of learning, but take the best of the curriculum from all methods. I can tell you without doubt my son is getting an education. The facilities are always clean, they make breakfast and lunch on site, and you can walk in at any time and see how clean the facility is. Also there are two homes which your children attend, they don't feel like a "facility" they feel like a home. I would HIGHLY recommend and encourage anyone in Oak Forest or Heights or anywhere on the northside to go do a tour. The facility is really found via word of mouth. They do zero advertising and have a long waitlist. Anytime there was a problem or I have had questions they have always found solutions or provided feedback promptly including if my son was bit or any other random scenarios. The moms all are in a whatsapp group and we all discuss the daycare and days off etc. they do close for two weeks in December, but guess what? SO DOES ALL SCHOOLS, welcome to being a parent, it is hard managing that piece but, despite that if you look at the cost benefit analysis they are worth every single penny, compared to other daycares that overcharge and do not deliver on their promises. I know because I went to another one and had a terrible experience. My son started at Gonzales at 8 months, and it has been an incredible experience ever sine.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Gonzales daycare is wonderful. We put our son in when he was around 16 months. The owner AnnaLisa is so friendly and responsive, you can tell that she runs the business well. Flor, the kitchen director, is also so friendly and accommodating to my son being vegetarian, and he's able to have a nutritious protein filled alternative to meat. The teachers are all loving and friendly and the facility is clean with a great outdoor area for children to play. Everyone is responsible but laidback/flexible. Not a fancy daycare, but a homey one, where the staff love what they do and have fun with the kids every day!

I had my child in this facility . At first , my impression was not very good, but i thought why not give them a try. They are very disorganized and always shutting down the daycare because the light goes off overtime it rains. Besides it all they don't have very good insulation. The ladies are so unprofessional. There's a lady there named Ms.Chely and she continuously lies to the parents about incidents. Its not worth the money. They go up on the tuition every christmas and say they do it to pay the employees. The employees do not get their full pay. They give their kids sink water. Please think about your kids safety bringing your child here.

I have had 2 children at Gonzales and have had a great experience. I've never had issues with the staff; some of the staff are not fluent in English and are a little embarrassed to speak to the parents because of this, but they are thoughtful, considerate, and understanding. The big kid side is ok, however I believe they could have a stronger curriculum for the kids; however, it is a daycare and not a pre-school so you need to know that and align your expectations with what you are paying for.

The staff and people are very nice and loving towards our kids in the infant house. Although I've herd negative things about the "Big kid school." I also herd from a former employee that they do not get paid for Christmas vacation when the boss is telling us we have to pay the full month so the employees could get vacation pay. I don't mind paying the full month but it's unfair to us that they are not getting the money that they are suppose to get! I've also herd that they get talked to rudely and are not appreciated. I personally don't think I will let my kids get to the big school. I don't think this daycare is organized and some of the ladies shouldn't even work there. I've employees from both building be really rude when asked a simple question. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me. The classes are way to big for the room size and when licensing goes they hide kids. Please let me know if anyone else has a problem with this.

For 4 years my child went to Gonzales Day care. They treated her very well but in the midst of my divorce, they took her fathers side (he is hispanic and I need to mention that) he is also a police officer. Even knowing that we have been in court battles and he stocked, harassed me and threatened to take my child and kill me. To this day and we have not been there since August, I personally have been slandered by them to many people which I did not give any founded reason for them to say that; "she is really nice but watch out because she is a B*itch". Normally, I would have recommended this day care to anyone but at this point I have no reason to do that.

We were thinking of putting our children in Gonzales Day Care because some neighbors have children that go there. So my wife and I went for a tour.

Immediately the inside smelled of stale mold and cleaning chemicals that tried to mask the odor. The infant room was small and crammed, so if any of the infants are sick, soon they all will be. The ventilation in the home is not good so circulation seems nonexistent.

Now it is no surprise why our neighbors children are always sick!!

In addition to a dirty and stagnant environment, the staff seems very unproffessional and ill trained. If there was an emergency I would not trust their reactions.

I would take strong caution before even visiting this daycare, let alone trusting them with you baby.
