I have used this provider for more than 6 months

IMPORTANT: this school IS regulated by the state. If your child is being mistreated, neglected, improperly supervised, or retaliated against, document EVERYTHING. Take pictures. Save emails. Put concerns in writing w/Ophelia P. & Jenny C.

Once you file a complaint, your child & family are protected from retaliation. Do NOT rely on verbal conversations w/ Ophelia/Jenny C. Follow up every interaction w/an email so there is a paper trail. Jenny tries to rewrite history with lies. Ophelia avoids responding in writing when serious concerns were raised. Send follow u & respond w/facts 2 Jenny’s lies.
The receptionist @ 4Cs, rude, not on your side or worth talking to, lies to protect business & unprofessional.

This school used to be wonderful under previous leadership. After Ophelia (+ Jenny C.) the environment became hostile & retaliatory. staff were protected & celebrated. They don’t care about parents /children.
I was going through major personal hardships. I continued being kind, supportive, collaborative, & generous to staff & school. My family donated close to $3k over time through supplies, gifts, & classroom support.
For 3 months, Ophelia repeatedly trashed her staff to me, wanted them gone & me to do her job. Tried to pressure me into accosting teachers in meeting over issues she had w/them. I refused & went to Jenny C & now the teachers are hostile & has support do behave badly. Teachers will not give me update on my kid who can’t talk, won’t open the door for me & my child. And more that I reported to the state.
I went to board member Jenny Copeland. I honestly believed she would handle things & fix. The treatment toward both me & my son noticeably changed & w/ so much hostility & hatred towards me from the teachers!!
What hurts is I was defending them. I believed they deserved better leadership & support. I communicated respectfully, donated generously, & tried to create positive relationships.

Advice: Don’t send your kid here. Do NOT overextend yourself emotionally/financially. Do NOT donate to school/go to parents.
The same generosity that was once welcomed was reported. Jenny thanked me- later reprimanded me. While allowing other parents to give to staff and me not to kids. Jenny C & some teachers stole. As retaliation teacher complained about a gift (never before complained) & were insulted by my gift. So i asked for it back. They would not return it. Jenny C kept lying about what the gift was. They returned gifts for children yet stole and in courage gifts for teachers. I was creating graduation photo gifts for families & they stopped me. They continued accepting gifts from “other” parents for STAFF ONLY. Gifts are allowed but NOT for kids! That sick. They ignored parents’ concerns. Jenny fights for staff rights. No kids or parents.
Parents should understand this clearly:
You & child have rights.

I also experienced unethical behaviors, including false & insulting statements made about me as a mom, my home, & my child from Ophelia.
The school knew I am on DB due to lost a child @ 36 wks & came close to dying. My son is my miracle child. The reality is that my son is exceptionally ahead and his DO said that she has never seen a kid this ahead. Academically advanced far beyond his age. He knows 7 languages, advanced math, science, penmanship, reading & more. He is constantly begging for a challenge-he was bored!
A teacher told me: my son already knew the curriculum (3 languages) was asking for a challenge. Couldn’t give. Ophelia framed him as “difficult” / “unruly,” NOT inaccurate.There were constant contradictions from Ophelia. She regularly claimed teachers were liars while expecting parents to trust mngmt. The only consistent dishonesty I witnessed came from Ophelia P & Jenny C.
She also attempted to pressure me into signing docs w/o reading. I refused. Parents never sign anything/be pressured to. KNOW YOU RIGHTS. My son is loving, intelligent, popular, creative, funny, & full of life. The teachers were NEVER justified in their the treatment of my son or me. This school WAS amazing. The prior Director created a supportive, safe, & positive environment. Jenny C. destroyed every.
I am concerned that personal & professional relationships w/in Jenny & Ophelia may have compromised objective handling of parent concerns & staff oversight. retaliation was rewarded while Ophelia not being a competent Director were ignored. decisions appeared focused on protecting “her friend & Jenny’s decision vs addressing the real issues. DON’T GO- esp w/Judy C being a Board Member. She creates, allows, rewards hostile environments, protects& encourages retaliation. I genuinely hope things improve someday because the children, parents, teachers that left when Ophelia came deserve better.
