Since 1978 Extended Child Care has provided quality before and after school programs on elementary school campuses in Sonoma County. Extended Child Care currently provides before and after school programs for the Mark West, Wright and Windsor school districts at ten different school sites.

Extended Child Care is committed to assisting each school-age child in obtaining life skills by providing quality year round learning programs, while supporting families and school districts.

Extended Child Care provides child care management services to school districts with on site child care, serving families enrolled at the school and providing subsidized care for eligible families.

Each individual that works in an Extended Child Care center is an important link in the program's ability to provide the best possible child care for each family and school that uses our services. The agency strives to provide a work environment that respects each individual and allows him or her to grow and be successful.

The organization has a Board of Directors made up of parents using the program and interested community members. All Extended Child Care centers are licensed by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing. Each facility also follows regulations set by the California State Department of Education, Child Development Division, the school districts served, and the Extended Child Care Board of Directors.
