Reviews
I’ve been really disappointed with the experience at the Goddard School in Philadelphia, especially with one of the toddler teachers, Miss Emily (Em). I’ve witnessed her being noticeably impatient with both toddlers and her fellow staff. That kind of energy doesn’t belong in a toddler classroom, where patience and emotional regulation are everything.
What’s even more concerning is that the school claims she has over 15 years of teaching experience. As someone who appears to be in her early 30s at most, that’s either a major stretch or simply not accurate. It feels misleading, and it makes me question the transparency of how staff credentials are communicated to parents.
After seeing these red flags, I looked her up on their website & did an google and quickly found their educators are publicly involved in the cannabis industry. While people are free to do what they want in their personal time, I’m not comfortable with someone so publicly connected to that space being in charge of my child’s development. It’s not about legality, it’s about sound judgment, professionalism, and setting the right tone in a classroom environment.
Families trust schools like Goddard with a lot. I expected better, and I hope the administration starts holding their staff to higher standards, both in the classroom and beyond.
