About the Provider
The mission of the Petite Ecole Bilingue is to instill in its students a system of values based on a community service and international understanding. It offers qualified students an innovative, challenging education and a sound preparation for higher education. Petite Ecole Bilingue expects students to acquire fluency in at least two languages, an understanding of community and an appreciation of different cultures through both academic and extra-curricular activities.
All students follow a bilingual program with 50% of their time being spent in French, the other 50% in English. The French Section mirrors the curriculum laid down by the French Ministry of Education for French schools abroad. The English curriculum follows the guidelines of the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
The overall aim of Petite Ecole Bilingue is to encourage and support the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development of each child through developmentally appropriate activities in two languages in which the child is or becomes fluent.
