We were set to have a tour (meet and greet), but then the provider cancelled on us unexpectedly. This provider warned me of other providers in a Facebook group and offered me a first meet and greet for a future spot, before interviewing others. She reached back out in the timeframe she said she would. We scheduled a meet and greet for 3-4 weeks out due to provider's choice as she was currently grieving a personal matter and she was not going to be doing meet and greets before then. This was for a spot originally 6 months out. She had given me the email of a current parent to reach out before the meet and greet, but did not give me a specific timeline to do it or that it was required for our meet and greet, as well as access to her Facebook group. A week later, she reached out about me not reaching out to the parents yet, and not looking at the Facebook page. She said the timeline of the spot had moved up to June and she only wanted to do meet and greets with serious families and wanted preliminary findings done. I had let her know we were still very interested and that I would reach out to the other parent early the following week as we had a lot going on in our family personally. She wrote nothing back about that not being ok and that it needed to be done sooner. A few days later she told me she needed to cancel our meet and greet as she had met with another family that was friends with a current family and it was a good fit. I was rightfully shocked and asked questions where I then was told she gave preference to referred families and "assumed" I would reach out to the other parent right away. I asked if I could reach out to the parent that night now that I knew it was required and needed to be done immediately, to which I got no further response. I don't know what communication is like while in care, but this was a huge red flag for me as my husband and I value good, clear communication. I just feel as though others should be aware of this or at least the requirements if they are wanting to move forward. It also looks like from here Facebook group that she is retiring in a couple years if that matters to anyone.

I am the owner

This site is ridiculous. They have taken public information that anyone can search, and made it look as exclusive. I have never met or toured a “Jenny”, and what is most ridiculous, is that during a pandemic, I have not offered any tours of my program. Based on the date of August, this review is not accurate. If this crazy site . does not delete my information, because they are not DHS, and has not authority to post reviews that are not vetted, I will be taking legal action, as well as reporting this wackadoidke site to the BBB! If you want to cry a provider, tahr the time to contact the licensing agency. Providers are angry that this site claims to be a”go to” to find quality care.
