We have repeatedly observed children outside in the yard unsupervised for extended periods of time. These children have been seen crying and fighting with each other, and nothing has been done to resolve their differences. Very sad, I’d stay away from this daycare.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

In a tough spot because of Covid when we found her and she had openings. Didn’t do any online research until major red flags occurred. Found this review and as I read it i couldn’t believe every sentence was exactly how our experience had been. I knew after that this person was real and wasn’t trying to damage a reputation. I have never posted reviews but want to verify this is actually a spot on review. Please beware your kids are not a priority here.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Taken multiple kids here out of necessity. Started doing a little research because there are many red flags with Melissa… I found this website and assumed it was a random website but then read the only above review. It is literally about the exact experience I have had. Either this is really random or I’m not the first person to have problems. Wish I would have seen this before taking kids there. Hope this helps someone else.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Melissa did before and after school daycare for my child for the last several years. We basically used her service for convenience & that was IT! She is constantly closing early, not open because of one of her own children or sick or she is "vacationing." She would send a group text out to all parents on inclimate weather days, reminding them that we should leave work early if need be because she closes at 4:30 sharp. Her hours are ridiculous for an at home daycare provider (7:00-4:30). Melissa has a large turnover & her clientele is constantly changing. She is has an outdoor playground which she utilizes from April-November (at least that long) & watches the children from the window. She justifies this as it's a gated in area. Melissa has even been investigated by social services on more than one occasion for lack of supervision. My daughter was supposed to ride the bus to Melissa's after school one day, however, my daughter decided to go to a friends house instead. I never received a call/text or ANY communication with Melissa that my daughter never got off the bus in the afternoon!!! That's how irresponsible Mrs Pelto is. Needless to say, we no longer use her services. Do NOT bring your child there. She is irresponsible, uncaring and an unfit daycare provider.
