I have used this provider for less than 6 months

If you’re considering this daycare for your child I highly recommend you take the time to read this review first. The facility is rather new (compared to other centers we toured) and has a small gym type room in it… and that’s where the positives end. CONSISTENCY IN CARE On a weekly - yes weekly - basis we would receive emails asking for volunteers to keep your kids home from daycare. This was sometimes even multiple times a week. The business you have paid for the sole purpose of watching your kids is saying they need people to keep their kids home or they will have to close down entire classrooms…. QUALITY OF CARE There were many times that I either received pictures or walked in to pick my child up and he was on the opposite end of the room from the teachers (who were sometimes sitting in chairs on their phones) laying on his back with not a toy in sight or within reach just staring at the ceiling… with nothing to do but stare at the ceiling. My husband and I also witnessed a teacher in the older infant room sitting on the floor with the children, holding an iPad playing a video for them to watch and she was on her phone with the other hand… I don’t know about you, but I’m not paying a tuition for a daycare to play videos on an iPad for my child who doesn’t even get screen time at home. KinderCare sends out updates via email to parents. In one of the emails we received it nonchalantly stated that they failed their accreditation. My husband asked the Center Director why they failed and asked to see the report and was told that he (a parent with a child enrolled there) could not see this. I don’t know about you, but this sounds like major sketchville to me, though in hindsight I’m not at all surprised they failed. HEALTH I’m going to preface this by saying I understand that children in daycare get sick. After his first 4 days of starting daycare he got his first cold. His recovery was slow (lasted about 3 weeks) and he was only 3 months old at the time so my heart broke for him. Being healthy lasted about 3-4 days and he was sick with another cold. This will repeat the entirety of his enrollment at this KinderCare. The twist was the pink eye. The pink eye he got 3 times in 4 weeks. The first time he got it we let KinderCare know immediately so they could let the teachers know and a deep clean of the room could be done because, as most people know, pink eye is EXTREMELY contagious. We also let them know so they could let the parents of the other children know… no one was notified… even his teachers. The second time he got it we talked to the Director about the cleaning procedures that should be taking place in the infant room, let alone when there is a confirmed case of pink, and that parents should be notified (things we didn’t think we would need to tell a Center Director). Parents were notified this time. Well, he got pink eye again and I was about to lose it. Again, parents were not notified. Neither my husband or I EVER saw anything being cleaned when we were there for pick up and drop off. I worked in the infant room and you were in an ongoing state of cleaning because of the constant putting of things into mouths done by each baby. I would never recommend this daycare to anyone. We pulled him from the daycare and hired a nanny, which is costing us more money but feel he is receiving much better care than he ever received at this KinderCare. The Center Director has no idea what she’s doing and is clearing not fit for this role. PLEASE, look for other daycare. You will be disappointed and kick yourself for choosing this place.
