Bay's Child Development

This day care facility is exceptional. The small setting allows the children to receive much more individualized attention than they do at typical day cares, and my daughter loves Sandy so much ???? I always appreciate how Sandy takes the time to follow all health and safety precautions to ensure the kids are cared for properly; and I think the fact that she makes it a point to learn about different approaches to child care shows how important the kids are to her. She has always welcomed my feedback (both positive and negative) and I would recommend her to anyone.

She only cares about the money not your child. My daughter has been going here since November. Sandy could only take care of her part time because she was at capacity for child to care taker ratio. She kept asking if I was eligible for child care vouchers every time I paid her. I informed I was not eligible so she asked that I pay cash the first day of every week, which was not a problem. Before I left for the holidays I offered to pay her in advance to hold my daughters spot. She declined and said she would add the funds toward the week of my daughter return. I messaged Sandy letting her know our flight had been pushed back and would still pay for my daughter spot. She insisted not to worry since her home was under construction and she would be closed. The day I come back she said my daughter was no longer welcomed there and the spot was filled by a child who’s mother was eligible for vouchers.

If I could give a zero I would but had to leave at least 1. Very unprofessional ans incapable of caring for infants/toddlers. Gave no notice when she told my daughter my 10 month old grandson couldn't come back to daycare. Thank God my dtr didn't lose her job. The reason she expelled my then 10 month old was bc he wanted to be held at nap time. She claimed she couldn't rock him and care for other children. Well he was her only child. School had started and she lost all of her kids. So no other kids except big kids on days that school was out. For the one Month she cared for him school was out once. Also she said my grandson cried when she put him down and wanted to be held. This is not our experience as he does not do this at home. I believe he was afraid of her cat. She said her cat would be put up. This was not true as the cat was out upon one of my pick up days. She tried to explain that he was only out for a minute. Then I noticed she would meet me at the door every day I picked him up. Wouldn't let me past the front entrance. Not sure why but that is when I started to get an off feeling. It was a blessing he was let go.

daycare was going great at first. my son had been going there for only 3-4 weeks. here recently, Sandy, the daycare owner.. asked me to come pick him up early because he wasn’t feeling well. no problem there! a few hours later I received a TEXT message saying my son was no longer able to attend the daycare. due to his sleeping habits & how he adjusts to taking his naps. the next day i told Sandy I would come to pick up my son’s belongings, I then receive another message stating she was leaving my sons stuff along with money for days he wouldn’t be there (due to him not being able attend) on her porch. just very unprofessional, I would not recommend this daycare.
