Please be cautious who you send your children to. My younger sibling and I attended this day care approximately 25 years ago. Now that I have a child of my own and understand more the difficulties parents face when finding a decent care provider. I thought it was important that I share my experience with other parents who actually know what I experienced on the inside.
I witnessed this day care provider grab to lift children by their arm and swing them around like they were a rag doll. I have witnessed this day care provider lie to a state license provider about how often we were fed a snack.
In fact, I clearly remember the owner's daughter come down the stairs and announce that it was time for morning snack, when we never had any such thing normally. We went upstairs and there was the state inspector.
I witnessed this provider use over the top punishment for children not using in her mind proper table manners and not using the phrase "May I be excused" when getting up from the table.
I do understand that manners are important but the methods and punishment used to enforce this proper behavior was not necessary.
As one parent to another, please research your provider, and listen to your kids. Neither my sibling nor I had the words at the time to express what was going on at this provider's day care, but now looking back I see how horrible this experience was.
